Lawyer: Court presses detainee to stop hunger strike
Published Monday 14/05/2012 (updated) 15/05/2012 15:35
Around 2,000 prisoners are taking part in a hunger strike.
NABLUS (Ma’an) -- Israel's High Court rejected the appeal of hunger-striking administrative detainee Mohammad Mahmoud Abu Arab for the third time, his lawyer said Monday.

The court offered to hear Abu Arab's appeal if he ends his 17-day hunger strike, the lawyer said, adding that the prisoner refused to give up the strike.

Abu Arab has been held without charge in Israel's Megiddo jail since Oct. 8 2010, he said.
