Gaza govt says Qatar fuel held on Egypt border
Published Tuesday 05/06/2012 (updated) 13/06/2012 12:28
GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Truckloads of Qatari fuel arrived in El-Arish, Egypt on Tuesday and are being prepared to enter the Gaza Strip on Wednesday via a small goods crossing in the south, officials said.

Some 153,000 liters of fuel will be allowed into Gaza on Wednesday, sources involved in the transfer told Ma'an.

Officials in the Hamas-run power authority say the fuel is being delayed at the border even though it was supposed to arrive Sunday. They suspected that the delays were related to the siege.

Israel agreed last month to allow the shipment to enter through its territory, Agence France-Presse reported Sunday. Egypt, however, has not authorized the shipment, according to officials in Gaza.

Qatar and Saudi Arabia are not friends or allies of the Palestinian people.

I thought Gaza was under a strict blockade, by land sea and air.

Thanks to the generous gift of this life blood from the Kuwait peoples.

Gaymer Kharken - this is just proof that the blockade of Gaza is by both Egypt and Israel. There is good reason for this, because the Hamas government rejects all aspects of normal rule of law and behaviors of government. This does not just mean they support and endorse terrorism, but they also refuse to pay their bills and impose international standards like all civilized nations do (anything from agriculture to transportation).

Why is the fuel being delayed at the border by the Arab brothers?
