BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – The Palestinian Authority’s financial crisis is still ongoing and civil servants’ salaries for June will be delayed at least 10 days, a PA spokesman says.

Ghassan Khatib said Friday that no mentionable progress was made on the financial crisis. He reiterated that civil servants’ salaries would be paid at least 10 days late, as previously announced by PA minister of finance Nabil Qassis.

Salaries are usually paid before the 7th of the following month.

The Palestinian government is contacting Arab and foreign countries seeking financial support in order to pay salaries, Khatib added. He said the PA was in debt by $1.2 billion to banks, in addition to millions owed in the private sector.

The REAL disgrace is that my government will not hesitate to give Israel any money and arms it wants and they will let the PA go right down the crapper! I am completely disgusted with Congress and Obama! They are all puppets of AIPAC!
