HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces shot and injured a 19-year-old Palestinian overnight Monday near Beit Ummar in the southern West Bank, a local official said.
Israeli forces shot Ziad Muhammad Ikhlil twice during a military operation west of Beit Ummar, local popular committee spokesman Muhammad Awwad said in a statement.
Also overnight, around 30 Israeli soldiers raided the home of Mahmud Awwad, 56, and detained him and his son Ibrahim, 28, Awwad said.
The father and son were taken to the nearby Karmi Zur settlement and pressured to hand over Mahmud Awwad's other son Muhammad, 22, who was not at home at the time of the raid, Awwad said, adding that both men were released in the morning.
Israeli forces also detained Jalal Abu Ayyash, 19, and Muhammad Ihkhil, 18, Awwad said.
The raid led to clashes in the town and Israeli troops fired live and rubber bullets, sound bombs and tear gas, he added.
An Israeli military spokesman said he was looking into the report.
