BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Police in Bethlehem arrested three women on Monday accused of stealing jewelry from a home in Beit Jala, a statement said.
Over $14,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a woman in Beit Jala by three women working in a team, police said.
One woman confessed to police that she had stolen a copy of the house key from the home-owners daughter over a year ago and stole in small amounts over a long period of time.
Two other women helped her sell the jewelry to local shops to avoid raising suspicion, police said.
