BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's special advisor for global youth issues met Friday with local students, telling them that America is "committed" to its relationship with the Palestinians.

Ronan Farrow told students at Bethlehem University the US is "committed to the relationship between the American people and Palestinian people, where our commitment to youth is particularly important."

Farrow's visit is part of a regional tour to include stops in Tunis, Algeria, Jordan, Palestine and Israel, State Department officials said. The 24-year-old also paid a visit to Jerusalem and attended sessions of some of the US Consulate's youth outreach projects, they said.

Of the stop in Bethlehem, Farrow said he was excited to "explore new ways to talk to -- and perhaps more importantly, to listen to -- young people," adding that some of the things he heard from the students "inspire me when I think about the future of Palestinian state and the future of the region."

Farrow directs the State Department’s Global Youth Issues office and is responsible for "implementing and amplifying" youth policy and programming at the department, the US Consulate said.

Don't believe a word from any of these hypocritcal Americans. We all know that they will always support the Israeli's through thick or thin and only have their own and that of Israel at heart. PALESTINIANS SHOULD TELL AMERCIANS AND ALL THOSE WESTERN COUNTRIES WHO HAVE DOUBLE STANDRDS TO BUGG*R OFF. Palestinains have huge number of countries who will provide help and support, but American aid will always come with conditions to suit Israeli's/

Are we now hiring 15 year olds in the State Dept.? No wonder our foreign policy is a mess. I certainly don't want to be committed to one more anti- American people who do not share our values. Is China committed? They just sell things, and no one seems to care, not in the Arab world either which keeps on buying. This is diplo-nonsense.

The USA supports and funds Israeli terror against Christians and Moslems in Palestine.

Make no mistakes about American intensions in the Miidle East.

They are anti Christian and Anti Moslem in line with Zionist ideology.

I guess I'm really shocked by the above comments. When we were on a Pilgrimage to Israel in 2003 and visited the University with Father Garrett, OSF, we all decided that the Palestinians were being badly treated. You may be correct about the USA government, but we are not ALL like some of the Government and I personally apologize for many of them. We are with you. It was exactly at the time we were visiting that the 'wall' began being built to further hinder Palestinian freedom.

To Doris Turner #8 'You may be correct about the USA government, but we are not ALL like some of the Government and I personally apologize for many of them. We are with you.' But our tax dollars are with Israel.
