Customs officers seize rotten food in Salfit

SALFIT (Ma’an) -- Palestinian Authority customs officials seized four tons of expired frozen vegetables at a market in Salfit on Monday night.

Officers detained the market owner and destroyed the rotten produce, a statement from the customs office said.

Meanwhile, health officials in central Gaza destroyed 15 kilograms of expired fish during routine inspections in the Nuseirat area.

The trader was taken for questioning, a statement from the health department in Nuseirat said.
