QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained seven people overnight Wednesday, Israel's army said.

Three people were arrested in the Qalqiliya village of Azzun and four were detained in the Ramallah area, an army spokeswoman said.

Ma'an's correspondent reported that three people were arrested in the Qalqiliya village of Jit.

Settlers had attacked Jamil Hassan Khader, 56, and his two sons while they farmed their land. Israeli forces arrested Khader and his sons Samed, 30, and Assef, 28, during the incident, Ma'an's reporter said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman had no reports of the arrests in Jit.
