TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- Israel's navy has recently strengthened its cooperation with the Lebanese Navy in the Mediterranean, as it prepares for possible flotillas to Gaza on Nakba Day, Israeli media reported Wednesday.
According to the report in Israel's Haaretz daily, Israeli navy officials have been cooperating unofficially with Lebanon's forces recently.
Israel has also been aided by the Lebanese Navy in driving out foreign fishing boats that have been nearing Israeli waters, the report said. As a result, a significantly fewer number of foreign ships approach Israel's maritime border now, Haaretz reported.
