BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- The Palestinian Authority interior minister said Friday that his Jordanian counterpart Muhammad ar-Raod will visit Palestine on Saturday.
"The Jordanian interior minister will come to Palestine on Saturday for a two day visit and he will discuss ways of strengthening the relationship between both countries," PA official Hasan Alawi told Ma'an.
The Jordanian official will meet with PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, Minister of Interior Said Abu Ali and the secretary general of the presidency Tayeb Abdul-Rahim.
It is an honor to receive ar-Raod, as he is the first Arab interior minister to visit Palestine, Alawi said.
Facilitating the passage of Palestinian citizens to Jordan will be among other bilateral issues to be discussed.
The Jordanian minister will also pray in Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, Alawi said.
