Israelis visit tombs in West Bank village
Published Wednesday 18/04/2012 (updated) 19/04/2012 20:03
SALFIT (Ma'an) -- Thousands of Jewish worshipers on Wednesday entered the West Bank village of Kifl Haris escorted by Israeli soldiers, locals said.

Forces erected checkpoints and occupied the roofs of several homes in the village, witnesses told Ma'an.

Religious sites sacred to Jews and Muslims are located in Kifl Haris.

Soldiers detained Jalal Mahmoud Abu Yakob, 34, from his shop near the religious sites, locals said.

There is a problem with the Palestinian Authority not having freedom of religion and freedom of access to holy sites for all religions. Palestinians previously burned the tomb of Joseph. Last year a Jewish worshipper was shot and killed by a Palestinian policeman. The PA needs a policy of freedom of religion for all peoples, and must reverse its racist apartheid decision that Jews are banned from living in the PA.

Did these Israelis have permits to enter the holy sites? Were males under the age of 40 excluded? Were the put through hours of searches? Don't worry Brian, when Zionism is dead and buried all religions will have free access to all of Palestine from river to sea. You just have to abandon your racist and hateful ideology buddy boy.

1- When the Arabs were strong enough (1948-1967), they did prevent all Jews from entering Jerusalem, even though they didn't throw stones or start riots, like Arab "males under the age of 40" today, and
2- "You just have to abandon your racist and hateful ideology buddy boy",
and about forget the obvious fantasy of "Palestine" existing either:
- "from river to sea" ever, or
- without major concessions to Israel regarding
borders, Jerusalem, Area C, and refugees too !!!

@3: religious tourism is more than welcomed in Palestine, and i will be the first one to fight for the right of jews (and others) to visit holy sites in the palestinian state, be assured of that. but first of all, Israeli soldiers need to leave us in peace in the 1967 borders.

@ #3 Palestine might be a fantasy in the world of zionism but zionism has always been based on fantasies and half-truths. Palestine exists regardless of who chooses to recognise the fact!

Israel is a racist apartheid state in clear violation of many UN resolutions and international laws pertaining to their illegal 45 year occupation of Palestinian land. No more US taxpayer money for the israeli war criminals!

Palestinians and Arabs started to the problem, and then made it worse,
by rejecting both UN resolutions (181 & 242) and international law,
with their invasions of 1948 & 1967, and now
Palestinians and Arabs are only interested in these UN resolutions and international laws that call for them to get more of what they already tried to steal, through their illegal invasions and terror attacks !!

- Israeli self-defense is NOT a crime !!

I don't trust Palestinians to give Israelis their right to worship and Palestinians are Jordanians, Syrians and Egyptians! They have as much right to the land as a Chinese man does, you pro Palestinians make the rest of the Arab world laugh at your ignorance!!

1) Remind us of the circumstances of the unfortunate shooting. Did his group not sneak in at night without permission or cover from the authorities and try to drive through a police blockade?
