SALFIT (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities bulldozed around 500 olives trees near Salfit on Friday afternoon, locals told Ma'an.

Israeli authorities claimed the al-Daher area is state land, but Salfit residents Ahmad Theeb Alkam and Samir Al-Masri say they own the land.

Samir Al-Masri, who is also an engineer and director of the Cooperative Association for Agricultural Development in Salfit, said officials accompanied by soldiers uprooted over 300 olive trees on his land, razing ten dunams.

Ahmad Theeb Alkam, 87, said bulldozers leveled ten dunams of land, and uprooted 200 olive saplings, as well as rock walls built by his family.

Alkam said he inherited the land from his parents and has documents to prove it, stressing that he will not be moved from his land.

Is this what the $3.1 billion US aid is going towards?

Probably. But what is certain, is that Israel has ordered work to stop on the EU "eco-energy" project, to serve Shaab al-Buttum and other places, using mainly German technology. It is demolishing the equipment, all paid for by the EU, whilst at the same time pleading for the EU Special Agreement (with Israel) to continue and be extended. The reason given is "planning issues", but it coincides with the EU "concern" over illegal settlements.

Yes, The USA and EU financially support Israel and the Palestinians, The support Israel's military, and support the Palestinians to build targets for military to destroy! It is a win win game for Israel and the donors! while the loser is always the Palestinians! Have anyone ever heard of a school built by USAID, destroyed by Israel and USAID demanded compensation for the losses from Israel? Never happened and will never happen! THEY ARE AIDING THE CONFLICT TO CONTINUE! it is time to chose sides.

Insider-3, Yes, the EU is financially supporting Palestinians to build target's for Israel's Administration, in Areas where the PLO government awarded to Israel Full Administrative control in the West Bank's Area C. Why-4, Claiming Land in Area C does NOT make it legally yours, and Building or Planting on Area C Land, after the PLO government Awarded Israel Full Military & Administrative at Oslo Is Stupid !!! INDIVIDUALS MUST PROVE OWNERSHIP, & THE PA MUST NEGOTIATE for Area C control.

i think the timing was good. israel lets palestinians to violate agreements and once they are invested knee deep israel reasserts it's legal ownership. i like it

7 ) Authority / Oslo Accords

The Israeli authorities bulldozed trees near Salfit, just it bulldozes unpermited Jewish "outposts", because:
- ALL Area C land disputed since it was neither part of modern Israel, nor part of a state called "Palestine", that never existed,
- Salfit residents Theeb Alkam and Al-Masri can NOT prove ownership of the land, and
- under the Oslo Accords Israel has full administraive control, with the right to require permits for any construction, and proof of ownership for planting trees !!!

Israel has no right on the land whatsoever, as everyone can read in the Geneva Conventions and is also confirmed by the ICJ. This is a crime. The only country in the world to think otherwise is Israel.
