GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hamas chief Khalid Mashaal is set to visit Cairo on Thursday to discuss the reconciliation process and bilateral relations with Egypt, officials said Thursday.

"Mashaal's visit will discuss the Palestinian reconciliation with the Egyptian side and ways to reactivate it in real life, and perhaps implement it immediately, especially given that a lot is based on the implementation," Mustafa al-Sawwaf, a political analyst, told Ma'an.

A Hamas delegation to the Egyptian capital will include Izzat al-Rishq, Muhammad Naser, Sami Khater and Nizar Awad, a Hamas statement said.

The reconciliation agreement, signed in May 2011, came unstuck as parties sparred for months over its implementation. President Mahmoud Abbas described the deal as "frozen" in late March.

"To those who are now threatening Israel I say:
Don't repeat the mistakes of your predecessors.
You threaten out of a hunger for conquest.
We defend out of an aspiration for peace.
Wars which Israel did not initiate, brought it unexpected gains,
causing the aggressors unexpected losses."

It will be a very cold day in Hell, before Mashaal reconciles with any group,
that has a dialog with Israel in words & letters, instead of bullets & rockets !!

#1 izrahell is the only one threatening anyone, izrahell not only threatens but attacks out of pure paranoia. izrahell has waged war every few years since the 1960's...the izraeli core personality thrives on the blood of war, NOT peace. they would disintegrate into nothingness without their murderous wars. next on the list is iran...without any provocation on iran's part and with consensus in intel sources that iran is not building any bombs, izrahell is threatening to bomb iran.

The only solution for peace within Palestine would have been a civil war between Fatah and Hamas, with Israel and Egypt backing Fatah. Unfortunately, the window of opportunity closed when Mubarak was ousted. Egypt would also have supported the move, but not now. The only thing we're left with is the 3 state solution: Israel, Fatahstan and Hamasstan.
