QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- Israeli soldiers on Thursday detained two Palestinian teenagers east of Qalqiliya in the northern West Bank, Palestinian officials said.

Palestinian civil liaison officials said soldiers detained Isam Salim, 16, and 14-year-old Ibrahim Barri near Amatin village.

An Israeli military spokesman said two Palestinians were detained for throwing rocks at an Israeli settler. He said they were transferred to the custody of Israeli police.
