BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Senior Palestinian Authority officers were awarded certificates in diplomatic protocol on Thursday at the presidential compound in Ramallah.
President Mahmoud Abbas' chief of staff Hussein al-Araj, Italian Consul Roberto Storaci and Consul-General Giampaolo Cantini attended the ceremony, the Italian Technical Assistance Unit said in a statement.
Eighteen members of Abbas' office concluded a four-day course at the Muqata on Thursday, led by former deputy head of Italian diplomatic protocol Stefano Starace Janfolla.
The Italian government has funded a series of workshops for PA officers on handling official visits and communication skills, held in Turin and Rome.
