RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Two people were killed Monday in a car accident on the main road linking Ramallah and Bethlehem, medics said.

They were killed when a truck collided with a bus as it was trying to overtake another car, sources from the Palestinian Red Crescent said.

Locals identified one of the victims as bus driver Fayeq Dabas, a resident of Tulkarem in his 50s.

Another man sustained light injuries.

The crash happened near the East Jerusalem town of Anata.
