JERICHO (Ma'an) -- PLO official Saeb Erekat said Wednesday that Israel must address the concerns of hunger striking detainees.

Thousands of Palestinian detainees are on hunger strike in Israeli jails. Their demands include better living conditions, access to education, family visits and an end to solitary confinement.

In a statement, Erekat warned that the health of striking prisoners was deteriorating, particularly those who have refused food for over two months.

He also called for the release of all prisoners detained by Israel before 1994 in accordance with the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement of 1999.

1- Palestinian detainees enjoy far better conditions, in Israeli jails,
than Israeli detainees (Shalit) enjoyed in Hamas' jail., and

2- Israel must address crime of terror, and punishment for terrorists,
while terrorist "hunger strikers" must address their jailer's demands,
until they have served their time, and paid their debt to society !!!!
