BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli soldiers on Thursday arrested a Palestinian carrying a knife near a Jewish settlement in Nablus, the Israeli army said.

The man was carrying a 14-cm blade near Elon Moreh settlement and was transferred to the custody of Israeli police, an Israeli military spokeswoman said.

Overnight, Israeli soldiers also detained a man in Mirka near Jenin wanted for questioning by security forces, she added.
