Israeli forces arrest 17 people across the West Bank

Palestinians are routinley arrested on the pretext of security.
NABLUS (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces arrested 17 people overnight Wednesday in the West Bank, Israel's army and PA officials said.
Seven people were detained in the Nablus village of Burin, six in the Bethlehem area, two in Qalandia, one in Jericho and one in Ramallah, an Israeli army spokesman said.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told Ma'an that Israeli forces raided Burin village after midnight.
Bashar Dakhil, 41, Ibrahim Najar, 40, Hammam Najjar, 26, Hamdan Walid Issa, 21, Ala Qadous, 24, Qussay Jamal Qadous, 19, and Ashraf Qadous, 20, were arrested by soldiers.
All detainees were transferred to the authority of security forces for questioning, an Israeli army spokesman said.
Palestinians living in the occupied territories are routinely arrested by Israeli forces, usually on the pretext of security.
Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
