GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- An Egyptian soldier was killed during a training exercise in the Sinai peninsula, security officials said Monday.

Mahmoud Abdul Minem, 22, died in hospital after a hand grenade exploded accidentally during his brigade's training in the desert, they said.
