BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Palestinian Heritage Museum reopened in East Jerusalem on Thursday in a ceremony attended by PA prime minister Salam Fayyad.

Dar al-Tifel al-Arabi museum aims to preserve and empower Palestinian cultural identity, a statement said.

The museum will display traditional Palestinian clothing and jewelery previously unseen by the public and will provide courses on the conservation and restoration of antique textiles, jewelery and manuscripts.

The re-opening of the museum is part of the activities promoted by the Palestinian Municipalities Support Program within the framework of the Preservation and Cultural heritage Sector in Jerusalem, Tulkarem, Nablus, Bethlehem and Hebron Governorates.

The 'Empowering Dar al-Tifel Museum and Dar Isaaf al-Nashashibi' project has a budget of 400,000 euros and is funded by the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem and co-funded by Pisa Province, Instituzione Centro Nord-Sud and by Dar al-Titel al-Arabi itself.

Yes, it is "good", that Israel freely allows Palestinian Heritage, in East Jerusalem, and everywhere else !! Muslims should also allow Jewish Heritage Museums equally freely, in Hebron (4 Patriarchs tombs), Bethlehem (Rachel tomb), Jericho (temple mosaic floor), Schem/Nablus (Jacob well & Joseph tomb), Kifl Haris (Joshua & Caleb tombs), Gaza (Mosaic floor of King David), Jordan, etc., but freedom of religion and respect for other cultures is NOT THE MUSLIM WAY (at least today) !!!!!

#2 - your ignorance knows no limits, does it? Allow me to enlighten you: 1) It has nothing to do with Muslims or Jews, since we are not talking about a religion, which both Islam AND JUDAISM are religions (not nationalities or ethnicities despite zionist rhetoric). 2) East Jerusalem was illegally annexed by the Israelis and is not recognized by 99% of the free world so lay claim to whatever you want, but it's still part of the West Bank and as such, a part of PALESTINE.
