NABLUS (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces arrested two people in Nablus early Monday, including a 70-year-old man, witnesses said.

Soldiers detained Sami Mustafa, 70, after raiding his home west of Nablus, his daughter Muna told Ma'an. He was taken to an unknown destination.

A PFLP activist was also arrested in Ein Beit el-Mai refugee camp on Monday. Witnesses identified the man as Ridha Khalid, 48.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said four people had been arrested overnight Sunday. Two people were arrested in the Nablus area, one in Jenin, and one in Hebron.

I am writing to the Minister of Foreign affairs in Australia about this! Ridha Khalid has relatives in Australia. This is not acceptable. This is of great concern to me because of my close links with is family over many years. Ridha has done a lot of good work with UNWRA. His wife, Weam's family came to the refugee camp in Nablus after his village, Al Jammasin, fled in 1948 because of persecution by the para-military group, Hagannah. Does Israel want another Intifada? I will come to support it!

The Israelis deliberately bombed with white phosphorus the UNWRA warehouse and schools in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead. They attacked the Freedom Theatre in Jenin and wrecked a cultural centre and children's playground in East Jerusalem paid for by voluntary contributions to MECA. Now they arrest UNWRA's Ridha Khalid for what??? Of course, they will invent a reason. They do anything without conscience to damage the lives of Palestinians. Next Intifada I'll join Ian Curr!
