NABLUS (Ma'an) -- A teenager was killed Monday in a motorcycle accident near Nablus, police said.

Rami Abu Raida, 18, from Qusra village south of Nablus, lost control of his bike in Jurish village and crashed into an electricity pole, police said in a statement.

He was transferred to hospital where he died.

Abu Raida's friend Mohammad Nasrallah Hasan, 18, was also riding the motorbike and was seriously injured. He is in intensive care, police said.
