NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlers on Thursday torched farmland near Nablus in the northern West Bank, a PA official said.

Ghassan Doughlas told Ma'an that residents of Yitzhar settlement set fire to large swathes of agricultural land in Madma village.

Witnesses told Ma'an that villagers clashed with the settlers and that Israeli forces intervened and detained two Palestinians, Ahmad Nassar, 20, and Muhammad Nassar, 23.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said soldiers and border police were called to the area but she said there were no detentions.

Meanwhile, Palestinian firefighters controlled the fires.

On Sunday, an Israeli human rights group released footage of settlers firing on a Nablus village, and called on Israel's military to investigate the assailants, as well as the army's role.

The armed settlers were shown entering Asira al-Qibliya and throwing rocks at properties in the village, which borders Yitzhar settlement, before the arrival of Israeli forces.

Nimir Fathi, 24, was shot in the neck, while Ahmad Jaber Jibrel, 30, was hit in the face with a rock.

Nope, different pictures, just a tiresome similarity, after countless attacks on Palestinians in the past few months.

Two Arabs finally caught in the act. An IDF force arrested two young Arab men from the village of Madama near Yitzhar Thursday, after they set fire to brush north of the Jewish community in Samaria

I see your confusion. The photos are similar, because events like these happen at least a hundred times a year in the occupied West Bank.

#5 - Most likely in retaliation for the swathes of farmland belonging to the village of Madama, set alight by settlers from Yitzhar. Wonder how many of THEM were arrested...

Abraham, the Patriarch of both peoples, solved a conflict with his nephew, Lot, by lettng him chose a direction, and he would go the other way. - Even, IN THE BIBLE, THEY CREATED TWO STATES. Today the people must do the same, and separate, but based upon the reality of today, rather that of 2,000 BCE, 1948, 1967, or 1973, and Today the people must talk, without settlement preconditions, and negotiate seriously & honestly, or this terrible situation will go on forever !!!!
