Palestine joins Law of the Sea meet at UN

NEW YORK (Ma'an) -- The Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the UN participated in the 22nd meeting of parties to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea despite the objections of Canada, the US and Israel.

The Palestinian delegation sat in their place according to the legal measures. The Permanent Observer Mission said in a statement that it was an important achievement toward enjoying full membership in the UN.

The meetings were held in early June at the UN headquarters, according to the statement.

Here's a question..How can the non-existent country of Palestine become a full member of the UN? Palestine is not a country, therefore there are no people called Palestinians. If there is such a country, where are its borders, who are its rulers, where its Constitution and its Parliament, what is its currency and more, much more. Where did these people who arrived on the scene on June 4th 1967 come from to claim a land which doesn't exist.? Please answer this and please do not 'bin' it.

The State of Palestine, being a successor state of the pre 1948 mandated State of Palestine (redeclared 1988 within 1967 borders) is allready recognized by 2/3 of UN-members. Contrary to Israel it has a constitution and fixed borders. Google for its goverment and elections. For occupation reasons it uses the Israeli shekel. Contrary to Colonial Jews, the Arab Palestinians were living there for ages. In 1948 2/3 of the Jews had not even acquired Palestinian citizenship and had no political rights

Shirlee, I would suggest you review both your history and your definition of what are the definitions of a "people". The Palestinian Authority does have a Constitution and a Parliament. Our constitution is one of the very few in the area that is a secular Constitution and not religious-based such as the ones of Israel, Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, all those chummy allies of the capitalist West ! You know the ones that supported Khaddafi, Saddam Hussein and other Mubaraks !

Here's another question #1: More to the fact,how does a ROGUE-NUCLEAR,OCCUPYING,WAR CRIMINAL,SEA-PIRATING THEOCRACY like Ziostan-Israel get to enter UN doors?Oh.that's right! By participating in the 22nd meeting of UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Palestine Mission of will learn that the BLOCKADE OF GAZA IS TOTALLY THAN LEGAL, and in fact, Israel's enforecement is actually very lenient !!!

Before 1948 there were no "israel", only PALESTINE.

Israel is not a legal state. It has been created by force in 1948. The settlers must go back to where they come from: Russia, Germany, Poland and the like. The illegal settlers have stolen Palestinian land, which must be returned to their legitimate owners: the PALESTINIANS.

What you never had can NOT be stolen from you, and Lies, Ignorance, & Fantasy is a Bad Way To Live Your Life, but FYI:
1- Before 1948 there was only a BRITISH MANDATE of Palestine, and
2- before that "Palestine" was an Ottoman province ruled from Syria,
but Never an independant state, except
3- as a Jewish State of Judea/Judah before Rome invaded, and
4- as a Jewish State of Israel &/or Judah, during the Reigns of the Jewish Kings, before Alexander the Great invaded !!!
