RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces re-arrested a member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine who had been released in the deal between Israel and Hamas last year.

The DFLP said in an announcement that Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Abu Hajla eight months after his release along with hundreds of others in exchange for a soldier held by Hamas.

A DFLP spokesman said forces surrounded Abu Hajla's house in the Ramallah area early Friday and imposed a curfew. Forces raided the home, destroying furniture and personal documents, he added.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said she was looking into the reports.
