TULKAREM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces raided the home of a Palestinian detainee in the northern West Bank on Tuesday morning, razing the garden wall and a nearby fence, his family said.
Seven military vehicles and a bulldozer surrounded the house of Hamada Abu Awad in Dhinnaba, east of Tulkarem, around dawn, witnesses told Ma'an. Soldiers then stormed the house and gathered the family of 20 into one room while they searched it.
The bulldozer tore down the outer wall of the home and a nearby shed, belonging to neighbors, they said. Forces warned they would return to destroy the home, relatives added.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said she was looking into the incident.
Abu Awad has been in Israeli custody since June 6. His family say he is being interrogated by Israeli intelligence services and has not been given access to a lawyer.
