JENIN (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained six Palestinians in the southern West Bank overnight Tuesday, a military spokeswoman said, while locals reported raids in northern villages.
Witnesses said Israeli forces detained Abed Al Rahman Mahmud Sbeih in Kafr Rai, near Jenin late Tuesday.
Forces raided the home of freed prisoner Ibrahim Nawahda in al-Yamun, also near Jenin, and interrogated him on site, they said.
In nearby Silat al-Harithiya village forces took Mohammad Barakar Zayood, and Mohammad Jameel Tahayneh from their homes and interrogated them for several hours at the Bartaa military checkpoint, before releasing them, locals said.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said the army was not involved in arrests in the north, but detained three Palestinians in Hebron, one in nearby village Beit Kahil and another two people in Bethlehem-village Tequ.
