New York Times reporter briefly detained at West Bank protest

JERUSALEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces released the New York Times reporter Ben Ehrenreich after detaining him for a couple of hours on Friday at a protest in the central West Bank, locals said.

Ehrenreich was among 12 people detained during a weekly demonstration against Israel’s separation wall in Nabi Saleh village, according to residents.

Locals said Ehrenreich has been in Nabi Saleh for two weeks working on a feature story.
