Secretary-General of the Palestinian People's Party Bassam al-Salhi.
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The Secretary-General of the Palestinian People's Party arrived in the Gaza Strip on Sunday to meet with Palestinian factions.

Bassam al-Salhi told Ma'an that the Gaza Strip is an essential part of Palestine and there should be greater communication between the different Palestinian leaderships in order to confront challenges facing the people.

The PPP leader said that he would visit Gaza at every opportunity and will communicate with all factions to discuss reconciliation.

Hamas and Fatah signed an Egyptian-brokered reconciliation agreement in May 2011 to end four years of divided governments in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, but its implementation has repeatedly broken down.

Hamas and Fatah are not separated by only repeatedly broken agreements between them but are divided by Israel settlement buildings. It can't be a one-state solution unless Israel relinquish its occupy territories. Can the US be a United States if New York is part of Mexico?.

The occupation could not be excuse for everything, Joe Fattal. Neither Hamas nor Al Fatah care about Palestinians. They have their own business and they like to keep power for own benefit.

Joe..... get off the nonsense...... Alaska is part of the US... No?? Yet is separated by much greater distance than the WB and Gaza. I fail to see the issue. But most certainly, if Canada was concerned of terrorist elements infiltrating it's territory from Alaska under the guise of traveling to the continental US, the same precautions would be in place as is currently experienced by Gaza.

2 ) Jane / PA "The occupation could not be excuse for everything ..." you must be new here. If Abbas passes gas it is because of the "occupation". The "occupation" is to blame for EVERYTHING, it is the rules.
