Mayor: Israeli forces block entrances to Jenin village

JENIN (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Wednesday demolished a water pump and prevented farmers accessing their land in a Jenin village, a local official said.

Mayor Samer Abu Baker said Israeli forces blocked the entrances Yabad with dirt mounds and demolished a pump, cutting off the water supply to the village.

Abu Baker told Ma'an that farmers could not access their land due to the roadblock.

"This step is to put more pressure on farmers," he added.

Meanwhile, a crew of electricity maintenance workers were banned from entering the village, local Muhammad Abu Baker said.
